Facebook and partner of Skype on "Video call" - PCWorld

Facebook is finally to get a dose of video calling with Skype.

The new feature is now and Facebook friends to initiate video calls with one or two clicks. Although Skype is feed video calls, the app is installed directly in the Web browser and does not require any other program to download.

The video chat option will appear as an icon in the chat window of Facebook and the profile of each user page. Users can now visit a video appeal on Facebook to begin with.

Facebook video chat has no frills. Unlike the convocations feature that Google has presented alongside Google +, there is no option of group video chat, or is there a way to watch videos together on other sites, such as YouTube.

But during a press conference, CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg did not appear concerned about the missing functionality. He noted that Facebook has spent the past five years to build social infrastructure, which rises to 750 million active users, and now Facebook is more focused on the addition of new applications based on growing its user. From its social infrastructure competition, Zuckerberg said "we are years ahead in the wiring up.".

Zuckerberg also had kind words for Microsoft, which, in May announced its intention to acquire Skype and has a minority stake in Facebook.

"Now that you guys are the property of Microsoft, gives us a sense of stability that you will be with a company that we can trust," said Zuckerberg. (CEO of Skype Tony Bates stated that the acquisition has not crossed yet).
