PARIS (AFP) - a French manufacturer Renault boss said Saturday, the company had taken to target by a network of international espionage but contended that have lost any major secret case which saw hanging executives.
Meanwhile, the French Government has refused to confirm reports that three managers were providing details of electric cars the company in China.
Renault number two Patrick Pelata told Le Monde on Saturday every day that the investigation which led to suspensions concluded that the manufacturer was confronted with "a system organized collection of economic, technological and strategic information to foreign interests".
"Renault is victim of an organised international network" managed by "professional", Pelata said.
But he said that "no nugget of information technology or strategic, including nearly 200 patents registered or about to be saved, has filtered".
Research on a new generation of battery program also was not, Pelata said, adding that electric vehicle development program would be operated as expected.
But he admitted that details the design and cost of vehicles may have been disclosed.
"This is serious but less if the damage concerned technology", he said.
Pelata confirmed that Renault would take legal action and managers of three would be the purpose of preparation prior to being sacked interviews.
A lawyer for one of those suspended, Mathieu Tenenbaum, administrator of the program of electric vehicles of Renault, spoke Friday, saying that his client was "stunned" by the move.
He said Tenenbaum was made to leave Monday "no explanation but..." "We know what you did, you may also admit,"lawyer, Thibault de Montbrial, told AFP in a statement.".
"He does not understand what is happening to him,", added Montbrial. "He is stunned by the accusations of espionage and hope that the explanations, he expects will be given to him as soon as possible.
Pelata no fingers at any country linked to espionage and Minister of industry, Eric Besson denied Saturday confirmed Informes as Renault and the French secret services suspected Chinese involvement.
"At this stage, I can say that only an inquiry could do", he told radio Europe 1.
Weekly news magazine Le Point, said Friday that the secrets stolen included details on how to build batteries for electric vehicles.
A French automotive subcontractor was acting as an intermediary with Chinese buyers, development reported on its website, while Le Monde said the system put in place is "highly sophisticated".
