EFC weigh action against Home Depot - Patch.com

According to a report by news from the Associated Press Sunday, federal officials are investigating allegations that focused on the Vinings Home Depot is in violation of U.S. law purchase by providing products manufactured in China and other foreign government clients goods.

The Buy American Act, which has its fair share of supporters and detractors, is an act of 1933 is designed to protect American jobs. It requires that all materials used in the construction of public projects are originating in the United States.

According the A.P. story, the investigation has been disclosed in Department of Justice for filing Court in a Federal Court in California. The Department of justice continues to investigate the issue and still has not decided to join a pursuit of whistleblowers who claims that Home Depot has breached the Act.

The history continues to say that a Home Depot spokesman said that the company cooperates with investigations and "would sell them never knowingly of goods prohibited under any circumstances."
