
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has recently posted notices of recall affecting a dozen General Motors Co. truck and SUVmodels and a popular Kawasaki motorcycle with a range of riders from off-roaders urban messengers and delivery workers.
GM said it is recalling 6,768 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon compact pickup trucks for the 2011 model year. The recall follows some mechanisms shifter of vehicles which can indicate that the transmission is in the "Park" when it is not a problem.
The automaker said that the trucks were built with a clip of adjustment of automatic transmission which cannot hold SHIFT cable in the correct position. If the cable of offset in the wrong position, the shifter can not accurately show the position of the transmission speeds. As a result, the pilot is perhaps not able to restart the truck, and he could drive away because its transmission is not locked position "Park".

GM is separately also recalling certain models 2001 of the Cadillac climbing, climbing ESV, Chevrolet Silverado HD, light Silverado, Suburban and Tahoe and GMC Sierra HD, and light-duty pickup trucks and Yukon and Yukon XL. Intermediate vehicles steering shaft attaching bolts may not have been properly closed.
Bolts loose could allow joints to separate. If this occurs the driver could lose steering, which increases the risk of accident.

Motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki is recalling approximately 9,460 KLX250 bikes that can form cracks which allow the fuel leak out, increasing the risk of fire.
